The normal way is to
right
click on the video and then choose "Save video as..."
like saving an image on your storage medium.
If this choice does not show up, then the easiest way, without
installing a program on your computer or an add-on in your
browser, is to
search for an on-line download
video website:
- Click on the video that you want to save, so that the
video starts playing.
- Click again on the video to let the video play in a bigger
screen on e.g. a Youtube web page.
- Copy the Internet address or URL from the address bar
(from "http://" to the end of the line) .
- Then go to www.google.com (does track your searching
behaviour) or www.duckduckgo.com (does not track your
searching behaviour) or another search engine to find an
on-line download video website.
- Type in the search field "on-line download videos" and
click Search.
- Choose and click on one of the results, for instance https://en.savefrom.net/.
- Paste the clipboard, containing the Internet address of
the video web page, in the search field of Savefrom.net. In
case of savefrom.net you do not even need to press a search
button to analyze the web page to find the desired video,
the analyzing starts automatically. After analyzing the web
page a list shows up with available formats of the video.
- Choose and click on a format from the list, e.g. the
biggest size (then you get the most detail), in mp4 format
(most popular format). Then the video appears on a new but
now normal video web page, this time ready to download.
- Right click on the video, choose "Save video as..." in the
context menu and save the video on your storage medium.
If this method does not work then a more complicated way is to
add an "add-on" (a third party) program to your
browser. In Firefox for instance, you can
- type ctrl-shift-A, a tab is opened which leads you to
installed and available add-ons.
- in the left column click Get Add-ons.
- at the bottom of the page click Find more add-ons, a new
tab appears.
- in the search box type "video download" and hit return,
you will get a list of available video download add-ons for
your browser. Or in the search box type "offmp4" to get my
favourite add-on to work with medjugorje.eu.
- click on the link of your preferred add-on.
- click the button "add to Firefox".
- a windows appears that asks Cancel or Add, click Add.
- a window appears that presents an OK button, click OK. In
case of OffMP4, a small add-on button in the top right
corner of your browser appears.
You have to do the previous part only once. For each
following video you can start with the next step. We assume
you installed OFFMP4, other add-ons can behave differently.
- load the desired internet page, for instance
www.medjugorje.eu.
- click on the add-on button in the top right corner.
- choose from the drop down list the title of the video that
you want to download (OFFMP4 is one of the few add-ons that
shows titles) and click Show Links.
- choose from the drop down list the format of your choice,
for instance the highest resolution, for instance 720
pixels, and the most advanced format, for instance mp4 and
click on Download.
- Your video will be saved in the Download folder of your
computer.
- instead of clicking on Download, you can click the "[.O.]"
button to copy the URL (internet address) to your clipboard.
- open a new tab with ctrl-t
- paste the URL from the clipboard in the address bar with
ctrl-v and hit return
- Right click on the video, choose "Save video as..." in the
context menu and save the video on your storage medium.
updating from here... (20 December 2018)
If this method does not work either then the most advanced way
is to try downloadable programs. My favourite is
StreamTransport. It works for me to download any video from my
website with this program:
- download the free program StreamTransport from www.streamtransport.com
- install it
- run it
- put www.medjugorje.eu in
the title bar of StreamTransport and make it show that page.
It will try to switch to other websites but be persistent
and type it as long as that you get it
- scroll to the video and make it play
- in the bottom field of StreamTransport a line will appear
that shows that StreamTransport is monitoring a file from
cdnhoster.com being downloaded
- click on download
- a new download window will appear, click on the line that
shows that your video is being downloaded
- when the download is complete, click on locate and you
will see the map with your downloaded video.
If it does not work let me know and we will find a way to get
the video to you.
God Bless You!
