Vaticaan gaat Medjugorje-waarnemingen onderzoeken

Statue of Holy Mary at the site of her reported apparation

Supernatural is occuring
Saturday, June 28, 2008
I went to Medjugorje in 1996. I was not even a baptised Christian. I had never previously been witness to anything supernatural, but did so at Medjugorje amongst thousands of other witnesses. There is, without a doubt, the supernatural going on in that place. Many others have also seen them. I saw the miracle of the sun there. Whether this was of the Devil or of God, that I cannot know for certain, but it's either one. THe supernatural does occur and defies ANY natural explanations. I believe it's of God personally because of the fruits produced by Medjugorje. Many conversions/healings and a sense of the holy spirit there. NOt a sense of hysteria, but of peace. Many get the urge to go to confession there and pray. I cannot imagine the Devil findings ways to draw people to Christ and confess their sins. Though, as it's not approved by the church, nobody is obligated to believe. But I think it's wise to wake up and take note, just in case God is using this place to do something special. Nothing replaces the bible or our personal relationship with Christ, especially in the holy eucharist! That is what it's all about.

How sad it is that you did not research the correct information before you published this negative article. I would recomend that you publish the official Vatican statements about Medjugorje. It also is totally incorrect that the Franciscans were threatened with expulsion by their order. Do your Homework!! It is very poor journalism to publish mis-information!

With hope that you will correct your greivous mistakes.

I believe entirely in the events of Medjugorje. The earth is trembling, and Our Lady has come to us as never before on earth to instruct and guide us to Her Son.

And as for dissenters, they should be reminded that Pope John Paul II looked favorably on this apparition site. They should also remember that the Holy Spirit does not exactly wait for Church approval.

Medjugorje is true!
Saturday, June 28, 2008
I would like to go on record by saying the Apparitions of Our Lady of Medjugorje are true! I received a physical healing there in 1990 and witnessed a number of supernatural occurences there including the miracle of the sun. These young Croatian people are definitely telling the truth, and Medjugorje is a magnificent place. If the people of the world would only listen to Our Lady's messages and this includes me this world would be a much better place. The world would also be at peace. Praise be to Jesus and Mary for the many graces we have received these past 27 years.

We can be assured if the Blessed Mother is appearing in Medjugorje, the Commission will reveal it. They cannot deny the fruits that have come forth over the years. We have truly been blessed.

Bishop Ratke Peric needs more prayers.
Saturday, June 28, 2008
I have been reading many apparitions of Our Lady and Sacred Heart of Jesus in many places and throughout history of Church. The seers have to wait too long to get through Vatican tests and investigations. So we have to pray for Medjugorje seers so they can be more patient and we also have to pray for this local Bishop.

All you have to do is look and see the graces and the spiritual fruits and conversions, which have come out of this site to realize that they are authentic and true. Also that nothing against the teachings of the church have been said or taken place there.

Medjugorje is Real
Monday, June 30, 2008
I also have been to Medjugorje several times and it has changed my life and brought me back to God and to the Holy Mass. Yes, the beauty of the village has changed over the years, but isn't your life much different than it was in 1981? The true beauty of Medjugorje isn't in the material wealth the world has provided for them, the true beauty is in the peace you feel and take home with you after you've prayed there. In 1990, there was no electricity in this village and the world started coming in droves. Over 30,000,000 people have visited there in the past 27 years. Do you not expect them to improve things and to beautify it? Is your home the same as it was in 1990? If the Vatican did not see something supernatural in the events here, they would have dismissed the entire event many, many years ago. Today, in heaven, the angels are rejoicing over just one person who has converted. In 1990, my first pilgrimage, that was me!

Blessed by Medjugorje
Monday, June 30, 2008
I heard and read about the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin in Medjugorje in 1988 and that alone turbo-charged my Catholic faith. I was blessed to visit in 1992 for the 11th anniversary and experienced many supernatural signs. I not only believe that the Blessed Virgin Mary is appearing to the visionaries, but that her being here is one of the most significant events in all of Christian history. It is time to hear her messages and live them.

It is interesting how medjugorje supporters try to circumvent the Church's statements on it, which speaks for itself. One of the signs of authenticity is whether it promotes obedience. I would guarantee, as has occured with other false private revelations, such as garabandal, vasula ryden, even if a direct declaration of a hoax is issued, people would still continue to claim authenticity. This will be a good lessen that we need to listen to the Church and obey the findings.

Medjugorje
Tuesday, July 1, 2008
Medjugorje has spread here to America through a man who wnet there from Chicago, Joseph Reinholtz. He was told by Vicka to find a place where there is a crucifix near a three branched tree. That is at Queen of Heaven cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. I had an experience there on a cold winter day during an outdoor prayer service there where i smelled on three occasions fragrant roses and the last occurence was fragrant oil in the middle of winter with no flowers or palnts around. I have a friend who had the same appearance at this shrine. this alce is in a sense an extension of Medjugorje.

i think the main reason for the vatican to not approve of the apparitions is the fact that the messages from our lady do not single out catholics only.(It's all about we are the only religion.)And I'm sorry but i feel this is wrong. Would Jesus say that only catholics are going to heaven and worthy of Gods Grace? or would he say that all men of all faiths are Gods children. And that we are all worthy of salvation. For the church it's just about the fear of losing human power nothing more.

Pope Benedict and Medjugorge
Tuesday, July 1, 2008
I visited Medjugorge last year. It was without a doubt an unbelievable and undeniable experience. You can't listen to other people's comments, even the Vatican's, unless you experience it yourself. It is so personal, and so amazing.

On a side note, our current Pope was the Cardinal of Germany during a dark time in Medjugorge, I can't remember the years, but the children were undergoing much scrutinty and shame from the Catholic Church and the Bishops. Someone may know the whole story better, but basically Cardinal Ratzinger called off the "bullying" of the children and of Medjugorge. I found it so interesting that he is today the Pope, given his one-time intervention there, who knows, maybe the Blessed Mother had something to do with that!

Our Lady of Medjugorje / Pope Benedict
Tuesday, July 1, 2008
The web portal of Radio Vatican reports in a post of July 21, 2007, that Pope Benedict XVI, currently staying in Lorenzago di Cadore until July 27, spent one hour praying in front of an image of Our Lady of Medjugorje.

Radio Vatican said that it was a very poignant moment. “The Pope went to the small chapel in the forest and prayed in front of the image of Our Lady of Medjugorje. An interesting story is connected with this image: it was brought in the 80’s and was stolen. After some time, the thief brought it back to the small chapel. The Pope prayed the Rosary and spent about one hour there,” said the Radio Vatican journalist.

God Not Likely to Wait on Vatican for Decades More
Wednesday, July 2, 2008
People believe what they want to believe. Non-believers are afraid or have just been heavily indoctrinated against the Catholic Church even to the point of hate mongering lies. Pray for them, Russia, & all sinners. What we really need is a New Pentecost for lapsed Christians & lukewarm Christians. I pray that the Vatican will acquire some real FAITH BACKBONE & approve these apparition messages real soon. I think they know a lot more than has been stated, and Pope John Paul II evidently believed & favored these events. Approving these events long after the facts is feeble faith hiding behind "the need for wisdom" & of little value. At this point in history, the Church has had 27 yrs. to study this. I'm sure many Cardinals have gone to Medjugorje incognito. The above article was negatively biased. The 1991 Commission did not state what this article says. It could not affirm or deny the authenticity of events as supernatural. Very Strange as per all medical & psychological tests of the visionaires, and the spiritual fruits. How can the Church deny the good fruits?
